Hi all, I read a lot here but rarely post....I am about to pull the trigger on a new PC and was wondering how this set up looks....not worried about price (well I should say I dont need to make this cheaper, its in my sweet spot costwise). Just wondering if it is a solid build.

Also I am a newbie when it comes to building a system but one little thing is the Fractal doesnt have front USB ports that stick straight out. They stick straight up off the top which will interfere with my space.

Does adding a SILVERSTONE FP36B 2-port USB 3.0 Front Panel, 2x 2.5-Inch SSD mount, 3.5" Bay, (USB3.0 Type A Cable Included) do anything to affect performance systemwise, powerwise? It probably is a silly question but I recall a rep somewhere trying to tell me something about that, just cant recall exactly.

Also does the MOBO support adding that?

Any insight on that would be appreciated greatly...thanks in advance!

Yeah thats a great build, i have the Define R4 and its great. Is there a reason you went with 4x4gb of RAM or is it just cheaper. As far as adding more USB ports don't worry it wont affect anything, although you will have to keep the door open to use the ports.

thank you both for your replies! i kinda figured something as common as adding a front bay port wouldnt be an issue, but i cant remember what that guy told me, but ill just go with it rather than buying a new desk to make using the top ones fit.

as for the RAM it was the only low profile i could find with a low CAS latency......its only available in 4x4 as opposed to 2x8....i really want to go overkill with 32gb but i keep hearing thats not really necessary. I considered trident Xs but would have to remove the heatspreader on top due tot he Noctua's size.

Yeah 32gb is overkill unless you are dealing with very large files when editing ect. I have 16gb in 2x8gb but have no plans to upgrade it for many years so you should be fine. Good luck with the build.
