Hi there,
I am about to build my first pc in about 1 week and I need advice regarding motherboards.
My system will mostly be used for gaming and surfing the Internet and the parts need to be sourced from Australia. I will probably moderately over-clock the components. I do not require a graphics card yet as I will be borrowing a friends 570 until the 8xx series comes out. I also plan to get a 2440x1440 resolution monitor when I get the new graphics card.

I know very little about motherboards and how much I should be spending on it so I would appreciate it if you could pick one or more option(s) and explain what that motherboard offers. I have no real requirements, although if it looks nice (e.g. like a sabertooth or the rampage series) it would be an added bonus (definitely not a requirement though) and if it has built-in wifi I could remove the $19.00 wireless adapter.
Once a suitable board has been found I'd also like some help picking some complimentary ram.
Any other suggestions for the build would be awesome as well :)

Thank you!

Well two mid priced motherboards that are both recommended by tom's hardware are the Asus Z87-Pro and the AsRock Z87- Extreme6. The Asus comes with a wifi adapter but other than that they are very similar. They both overclock very well but all the information can be found at this article http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/z87-haswell-motherboard-review,review-32700.html
you also named a very good board in the Asus Sabertooth Z87 but its slightly mre pricey than the other two. I would recommend getting the i5 4670k with these motherboards as its probably the best value for money processor for gaming right now. Pair that with 2x4gb of RAM running at 1600MHz or above and you have yourself a solid build.
