Question about temps and overclocking.

I have an AMD athlon 750k with the stock cooler. but both HWmonitor and Speedfan have showed that the highest temps ive seen my cpu get is 54 C and that was after 4 hours of battlefield 4. i ran prime 95 for 20 minutes and the highest it got on that was 51C. so even though im on stock cooler do you think it would be okay to OC a little? im currently at stock 3.4. and how much would over clocking raise my temps.

Would i need to raise my voltage for that little of an overclock?

Yes, that is how you overclock.

I know that but some people can add a little overclock without having to raise the volts. just like you can overclock a gpu a little without having to raise the volts. i was wondering if the jump from 3.4 to 3.8 was big enough that i would have to raise the volts

Yes you would have to raise the voltage.
