Both of my computers audio has been stuttering and glitching like crazy whenever I go to play any type of sound file whether it be youtube or itunes. This really bugs me as I can't listen to music properly. Both cores on my hp p6360a max at 87'C. Could this be behind the reason my audio has just been stuttering like crazy? What can I do to fix it? I am considering getting a liquid cooling system??
I also keep my tower on the floor does that play a role somehow and I am living in Australia where it is at 40 C each day

Solution
Having the same audio problem on different PCs is really strange. Are you using the same speaker? Did you try updating the audio drivers? Your HP's audio chip is realtek alc888s so you can go their site and download the proper driver for this codec. Also when this problem happens can you check the CPU load? If your cpu is hitting 87C when there's no heavy load then it's a problem. Youtube or iTunes alone isn't able to get your cpu heats up to that point.

It would be better if you have given the specs of your PCs. But considering both of your PCs doing the same thing possibly an electrical issue. I've never heard sound going bad when cpu heats. Moreover 87C under full load isn't that high. But some more information about your systems would be helpful.

It is possible for an overheated cpu to mess up audio but what you describe should only happen when the cpu is under load. (at least %65 or higher for iTunes to have issues)

and there is a link for the hp pavilion which I only set up last week after years of it inactive. Literally it was fine for one hour then once major updates happened the audio stuttered just like on my acer

Hey there. I finally found out what was causing the popping and clicking in my audio. I am currently using a focusrite scarlett 2i2 soundcard and I had plugged it into the USB socket at the back of my pc and that was causing all the clicks and pops and also boot up times. When I plugged my soundcard into the usb sockets on the front of my pc all the clicking and pops went away. I was so bazzelled by this basic error that had me going for months. As for the ACER I do think it was some overheating problems as I was using it in 40' heat and was find before the summer hit.
