Is this motherboard good enough for overclocking?

Hi,

I was just searching around to see if my Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3 could overclock my FX 8320. But it seems like it's not a very popular motherboard so there's not to much support. I've never overclocked anything, but now I have an Evo 212 so I wouldn't mind looking into it.

Thanks

That is a great mobo. Although motherboards don't affect overclocking that will be fine for over clocking an 8320. What you run into problems with is the heat issues. That is why most serious over clockers use water cooling to keep their cpu from overheating when they are at 1.5 ghz over their factory clock. Hope this helped!!!!

Would you think that an Evo 212 would be enough to crank it to 4.0? Do I need to changes voltages for that or stay on stock?
