Im Really stumped on this problem that my friends laptop is having (the specs are at the bottom) I first noticed it when i did a canyourunit test on gta 4 for him. It said it passed on everything accept the video memory. The test said it required 512Mb of dedicated video ram and he test said we only had 64Mb. So i went ahead and checked to see what the specs for this laptop were online. SO i went ahead and checked on HPs website and it said the specs were up to 1696MB total graphics memory. So i read another thread that just overall says that can you run it just cant recognize that it uses part of of the 8Gbs tat you have as normal memory so i deacided to go ahead and buy it because i seen the same laptop playing games with similar graphical standards. but when i tryed to play it nothing showed up hardley only a couple objects were showing and when i looked at the advanced setting it said i didnt have enough video memory and that only had 64Mb so im stumped. i tryed going into the bios but i couldnt figure out wear the VRAM was. So plz someone help me out with this i would greatly appreciate it
