Hi All!

What do you think of this build? I plan to play mostly older strategy type games Civ V, Total War, etc... I'm really extending my budget already, I know the GPU isn't great but it will be fine for what I need right now. What do you think? I am planning to buy today trying to buy most stuff from Amazon and Newegg but are there any possible deals I'm missing or anything I can do to get under $800?

Good day sir ! Nice build (nothing wrong with it), but since you asked:

1. Put all your parts into pcpartpicker.com and it will help you shop. You've done this so well done !
2. Given: a gaming PC and $875 it think we can get better performance by
3. Reducing SSD size to 120/128 GB. pcpartpicker has a toshiba q SSD 128 GB fo $85
4. Take that savings ($140 ur ssd-$85 new ssd=$55) and get a better GPU
5. GPU budget $110+$55 = $165 = HD 7870 XFX FX-787A-CNFC post rebate from newegg
This GPU is just an example of the possible.
6. Another area for saving is your PSU. Your pick is good. However, PSU brands (im thinking Corsair here) go on sale regularly on Newegg and Amazon. You should be able to get a good 500-600 watts for about $40 on sale. Corsair, PC Power and cooling ... maybe a Seasonic or XFX on sale.
7. Again, apply saving to GPU
8. GPU performance and cost: http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html

Bottom line: With a fixed budget you can maximize your gaming performance by e shopping and maybe waiting a day for 3 for sales / specials . PCPartpicker is great, as are amazon and newegg. The single most important item for gaming is the GPU. Good Luck !!
