Problem with XPG SX300 Adata SSD

Hey all,

I need some help:

I've had the Adata XPG SX300 128GB SSD for about 5 months now. Just yesterday it (appears) to have failed.

Here's exactly what happened:

I was playing ArmA 2 when all of a sudden the game froze. Not anything out of the ordinary, it's happened before. My attempts to exit the application were failing, and I had no control, so I had to force a shutdown by holding the power button. When I powered my computer back on, however, the computer would not boot. It would power up, the screen would remain black, then after about a minute the menu for changing boot order/entering BIOS would appear.

At first, I thought my OS files were corrupted by the forced power loss, but as I tried to reinstall Windows, I noticed the SSD itself was "frozen." I could not affect the partitions/drive at all with the Windows installer in my attempts to delete/reformat the partitions. I read up a bit on my problem and it sounded like I needed to secure erase my SSD (write zeroes over the whole drive). At first I used a LiveCD of Gparted to try and delete the partitions from my SSD but it only identified a 32 KB partition on the SSD and I could only affect my HDD. I also tried Parted Magic, but when I tried to secure erase the ssd I got the following message: "This routine can only be run on disks supporting the Security Mode feature set." I tried to find out more about this, but without any luck.

I also tried to dwipe the SSD, but I'm almost positive it didn't work.

I forgot to mention this, but I also tried to "unfreeze" the drive. I tried booting the laptop and hot plugging the SSD (absolutely STUPID idea, I know) but the drive was not recognized after I plugged it in. I tried booting only with the SSD, which allowed me to at least see it with Parted Magic, but I could not do anything because of the message I wrote about earlier.

Now, I'm out of ideas because the SSD is recognized in BIOS, Windows installer (although the size of the drive is not reported), and Magic Parted, so it seems like the SSD isn't dead. I'm thinking that the SandForce controller is just completely messed up, and frozen, the only way I've read to fix that is to Secure Erase the drive, but as you know, my attempts were all unsuccessful.

Computer Specs for my Lenovo U410

Software:
BIOS Version: 65CN97WW
SandForce Driver Version: I don't know. I checked for updates once, but my efforts were pathetic. I believe the drivers would most likely be whatever was released before April 23, 2013. My best guess is the 5.0.7a Firmware version. There supposedly was a firmware upgrade that fixed a lot of the memory controller's issues. I'm almost positive I did not have that upgrade.
OS: Windows 8.1

Hardware: (probably not useless information)
Intel Core i7-3537U @ 2.00GHz
8 GB of RAM
1 TB HDD
Intel HD 4000

Anyway, I'm out of ideas. I'm almost positive I voided the warranty on my SSD (Tamper Proof sticker is gone), so I'm quite keen on fixing this. If you have ANY ideas and or need more information, please let me know.

Thanks in advance!
