My one computer has four internal hard drives in it. Right now I got a 3tb external HDD that I'm using as backup. However, when I use the Windows back-up, I notice that it includes all the hard drives in one back-up file, which concerns me; what if only ONE of the drives fail and the rest are fine? Is Windows Back-up able to just restore the one fail drive, or will it attempt to restore ALL drives, potentially resetting ones that don't need to be?
Also, is there any backup software (pay is fine) that lets you backup each hard drive individually? Or does Window's backup do this and I'm just not seeing it?
Also I was thinking of getting an internal hard drive for my back-ups. I was thinking of going with a WD Green one since they use low power and back-up is all I need it for, so speed is not a concern. Anyone have any suggestions in regard to this?
