I really don't know to much about the current generation cards. I have room for only one card and I am currently useing 1 1080p monitor. I am thinking that down the road I may upgrade to 3x 1080p monitors for gaming but that might not happen. Is there a "huge" jump from a gtx 770 to a 780 or a 780 ti or is it a much smarter idea to wait for the 8xx series cards?

Money is not a huge issue for me but I dont like to throw it down the toilet. I can see the gtx 770 I have for around $300 give or take $30.

Please feel free to post any information that can help me make this desision.

Yeah, wait for Big Maxwell I think - GTX 880. There's about a 15-20% boost from a GTX 770 to 780, and the same from 780 to 780Ti. IMO two extra monitors is not worth it - have you tried downsampling on your display? Set a custom resolution of 2560x1440 or higher and see if your display can drive it at 60Hz. It's basically supersampling.
