Spare PC sitting around, is this a usable yet somewhat ghetto substitute server PC?

So, I have this old HP computer (Specs down the post a little, ignore the modem bit I will be using the LAN port.) and I'm wondering if it is a viable server PC for running SRCDS servers. I used to run a very stable Minecraft server and it was able to handle upwards of 16 players at once without crashing or getting bogged down. The LAN seems to be able to handle the stress as the Minecraft server had low ping for all my friends and never really had issues. It used to run vista but it's had server 2k8 and Ubuntu on it for like three years now. I ran the MC server off of Ubuntu, I don't know why I still even have 2k8 on there but I still do so I might as well add that in to the post. The hardware seems to be able to run the Source engine pretty well (Around 100 FPS on CSS on lower settings) and I assume running a SRCDS console with no video would be much less taxing then actually running a game. I didn't try gmod which I would be hosting for as my friends server is getting hacked to shit and we need a backup server just in case he needs to cut payment for that one so we can fall back to something and change our server name and loose the hackers.

So basically I'm wondering if it can handle these following things or what upgrades would make it possible, it needs to be reasonably stable, can take a bit of pressure from more than 16 players on at once, not shit bricks when we install DarkRP and a ton of mods onto it, and generally be able to self recover from a crash (Server auto starts up when computer boots, I think that might be possible with a few scripts for Linux or just services.msc on 2k8. But I would need some help getting a script for Linux as I haven't touched ubuntu for like two or three years now so I'm far more then rusty.) I would also like it to be able to be left alone and not needing attention frequently.

So yeah, can this machine handle those things? If it can't handle them what parts would make it more viable.

Edit: I'm using its old wireless card in my current gaming PC and it is pretty damn good, so I'm assuming its LAN is not much worse.

Lol, sorry I took so insanely long. Thanks for the answer, I've tested it and it runs just fine.
