I have a friend that I play the same games with. On all of these games his PC runs them a lot better,10-30 fps higher. His GPU is a GTX 660 with a intel I5 3570k. Does the difference in CPU give that much of a performance drop?

The games we play include:
League of Legends
World of Warcraft
Borderlands
Guild Wars 2
Dayz (standalone)

My spec:
AMD FX 8120 @ 3.1
2x4GB Crucial Ballistix
asrock 970 extreme 3
ASUS GTX 660 ti

Any help appreciated

Solution
Piledrivers are not known for their gaming performance, and multiplayer games tend to be more CPU intensive, as such, you friend's stronger single cores with his i5 will easily give him the performance advantage.
