Hi guys,

I like to play Final fantasy, at the moment on the lowest settings I get 15 fps. needless to say my pc is rather shit.

I saved 800 euro and I can spend this on the following settup.

I found so far... I really tried... is it any good?
1 videocard for me and 1 for the BF gtx 660 180 euro
new CPU i5 3570k 199
New MB z77-a 90 euro
SSD samsung 120 gb 90 euro
at the moment I have: 8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 668MHz (9-9-9-24) Is this still ok?

I would very much like to play as max as I can... can someone please help me suggest a settup?
I am afraid that if I put something together it wont work as well...

Ok so your PSU should be good, 600watt are more than enough for the 660, but just to make sure that's it's fully compatible, do you know the name of it so i can check all the specifications?

About the case, if you can find the name it would worth looking the specifications just to make sure that fits the motherboard and the gpu, but i assume that by saying "it's quite big" you probably won't have any issues, still though worths looking it up.

Your motherboard is compatible with your CPU but i think you will have issues with the RAM, it supports from 1066mhz and up and i am not sure if motherboards in general can support a ram running at less MHz than their minimum, but that's something i not know for sure. I do suggest you thought to...

Could you be a bit more specific on what motherboard you want to use? I had an almost identical system with GTX 660 from Asus, the same CPU, Corsair Vegeance 8GB @ 1600mhz and i was more than pleased with the results. I haven't played the new Final Fantasy on PC, but having played with my system Crysis 3, FarCry 3 and Battlefield 4 (a few of the most demanding games) i can say that you system will handle Final Fantasy at a very good quility without any problems. Not max settings, but probably u can get everything up to high with maybe some on ultra (as long as you have no AA ofc).

The parts should work together if the motherboard supports socket 1155. Please also note the size of the graphic card you will choose to fit in your case. What case do you have?

If you give me a bit more info i might be help you more, but so far you are on a good road.

One last thing, what brand is your RAM ? If u can afford it, i would suggest getting a similar one to mine.

EDIT:
Almost forgot it, what PSU do u have? GTX 660 needs at least 450W.

Hi,

Thanks very much for replying the MB would be this one : http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Z77A/
Would I need to change my ram? Mine is now 668MHz, its corsair value ram if I remember right
I was one of those big square cases… Coolermaster box… Can’t come up with the name atm. It is quite big, so I suppose size wouldn’t be an issue.
My Psu is 600 watts, so that should be enough I reckon?
Thanks for the reply !

I do suggest you thought to get a ram slightly better, at least at 1066mhz, because 668mhz for nowadays requirements is low. How much are you buying the ram? A Crosair Vegeance 8GB dual channel 1600mhz costs around 70-80 euros (depending in your country you might find it cheaper) and it's a lot more powerful than the one you are currently choosing.

The ram I have is a year or 2 old now. I can buy new ram if it fits in the budget.

The case is a cooler master haf xb.
I couldnt find the box of the psu, so when im home I will have to open the pc to see which one it actually is

Your case is good. Check your PSU name to see if it's compatible with everything as well, and then the only thing you will need is a pair of new rams and you are set to go.
