Ram speeds low?

Hey guys I just made my first build a while ago and I noticed that my ram (2x8gb corsair vengence pro 1833mhz) is only running at like 993mhz both ram modules are working so I am wondering what's going on? I have lastest drivers also.

Mobo: Asus Maximus VI hero .

Also a note I did manual set it on my mobo to 1833

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried looking through your bios for any weird/unfamiliar looking changes to your memory? I know for my MB's bios you can change the speeds of them. I'm running four 4gbs of memory on mine and I can change the mhz they produce if I want too

933x2=1866 It's running at the right speed. DDR stands for double data rate, so the effective rate is double the actual hence the x2. Ram doesn't have drivers.

Ohh wow I feel really stupid now, I thought they were both running at 933 each, well thanks for clearing it up. Also I was referring to motherboard drivers
