So long story short i'm looking to upgrade my graphics card.
I have an advent DT1412 which i bought pre-built, i have not touched anything from it.

Intel core i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz
Foxconn H61MXL/H61MXL-K
AMD Radeon Hd 6670 2048 Mbytes

A google search of the model told me the power supply was 405 but that was 1 thread on a forum. (Could be wrong?)
I can't open the computer because my parents won't allow me too, So i wouldnt be able to tell you first hand the power supply. (Reasoning behind this is insurance, Company will be installing my graphics card and whatever else i need to upgrade)

Looking at buying this, http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/components-upgrades/graph...

Can anyone help and tell me what i would need to upgrade to fit this card (If anything?)

Apologies if theres no way you can help with the lack of info :(

You would need to upgrade your power supply, 500W should be enough but I would go 600W minimum just to keep things safe.

Your parents won't allow you to open the case, but you're looking to upgrade your GPU; which requires you to open the case?

Regardless, to be on the safe side, I would always go with a new PSU if your system was pre-built; pre-built systems don't normally have the best PSUs. A XFX 550W would likely be enough to power your system + 660.

They won't allow me as if affects my insurance if i open it, I would have to get the company i'm insured with to install my graphics card also.

You would need to upgrade your power supply to at least 500W. I would reccomend 600W so there is less strain on the PSU. I understand what you mean by voids the insurance. You got a company to custom build it and you void the warranty if you open it.
So I would suggest getting a 600W PSU along while gpu and getting the company which made your pc to install it.

My computer is insured with the company i bought it off, my parents pay them per month for its insurance? (I belive.)

Either way this is irrelevant and doesn't matter, I've been told not to open it so i shall not be opening it.
I just want to know what i'll be upgrading/If anyone knows the power supply of the model of computer i have (even possible? no idea.)

Since it is custom, The company you bought it from is the only one that might know.

If you are worried about the insurance above all else, I don't think this the right option for you. Also, if the company you bought it from is that up tight about it, then you probably shouldn't be buying it from them. Most pre-build companies UNDERSTAND that you want to upgrade later, and ASSUME you know at least something about computers and won't break it by opening it and looking at it.

(Side point: Unless you had laser vision, which might break it by looking at it)

Just open the case kid. It's not going to self destruct or anything

if it is insurance just have mom & pop add the new card to the plan...and depending on what their paying they could stick that money away and buy a new PC by the time this one is outdated (basically a 3 year lifespan for a pc) I would think the PC would also be covered under their home owner or rental insurance. how old are you can you work save some money and just build your own monster gaming rig...

EDIT - I looked that PC up they need to quit paying insurance on it, it's already outdated...put the card in it

Save the insurance money for a better computer, it is worthless anyway. Learn about PC's, do your OWN fixing if anything even breaks. It's much cheaper, and pretty fun and rewarding to fix it and be able to help your friends fix their computers! :)
