Hey guys, as you all can see, I have a question about the Killer Network Manager. How do I use it? I'm a computer noob, so I'm lost. It came with my ASRock Fatal1ty Z87 Killer motherboard. On the motherboard, it says that this program can reduce latency (of course it's different for everyone) up to like 136 percent for LoL. The thing is, when I'm playing, I get 107 ms sometimes or 70 ms. I'm really trying to find a way to have the lowest latency possible. All help is appreciated and thanks for reading!

I would advise you do not use it you see reports of many strange errors with those drivers. Most latency is the time it takes traffic to go from one location to another. How can they reduce the time it takes light to travel from say the USA to India. Most other latency is in equipment in the path because of traffic load. How can any setting on a local machine have any effect on a router in another country.

These are the big things that contribute to latency.

What killer does is try to reduce the time it takes to transfer data from the CPU or memory out to the cable. They actually do accomplish this but unless you are doing something crazy it is some tiny fraction of 1ms so it is not significant. They also do things like allow certain applications to get better priority on nic card. This says if I am streaming a video and playing a game I can make sure I send my game traffic first. Duh maybe if you are really worried about good performance you should only run those programs that are critical.

But if you find a way to make light go from the USA to india faster let me know we can all get rich.
