My router (TP-Link WR740N) suddenly stopped. When I re-installed it says cannot establish network connection and check my WAN settings. Thinking it may be broken, i bought a new one (Cisco Linksys E1200) but after installing it says i am connected to the router but it cant find my internet connection. Please help! thanks!

btw, im using laptop i dont have a modem, im using SmartBro connection (its a broadband connection in Philippines)

So I suggest you look to see that the security code is properly entered on the router and the computers. If in doubt re-run the router setup. At some point it will ask for the security key enter the one you are using on the computers. If you do not have that one, then make a new one for the router and enter the new one on the computer(s) using the network set up in windows.

Can you connect using a wired connection between the modem and router. Can you connect directly to the modem? For starters I would re-enter whatever security code (WAP, WEP, ?) you use. Makes sure that all devices are on the same channel also. If you can not connect by direct wired connection to the router then it is an issue with your ISP. This does sound like a setup issue involving you security protection.
