So right now I have a 2tb HDD with win7 and everything I have on it. Is there a way that I can boot from the ssd, but go into win7 from the HDD? I want to be able to just boot from the ssd and then use HDD for everything else. Thanks!

What you really need to do is a clean install of Windows 7 on the SSD, and then install your applications on either the SSD or HDD.

You can't boot from a new install on the SSD, and access old applications existing in the old Win 7 install on the HDD. Some things might work (poorly), but a lot will not.

^+1 That's what I've done on three builds.
Clean install on ssd and use hdd for storage of music/video files and the bulk of my steam games.
Ssd for most played games and primary boot.
