Hi :)

I am not very good at explaining things sometimes, im going to do my best. Please bear with me.

I have a P55A Gigabyte Board with a Core I7 860, its been OC'd for almost 5 years stable.

Details of the clocks are...

Base System: 3.52GHZ - 160mhz BCLK
CPU volts: 1.23
QPI / VTT: 1.25
DRAM volts: 1.65

Few weeks ago i decided to get a 16GB ram Kit, then i also decided to OC the ram abit.

Details of the ram kits are...
Old 8GB 4x2 kit - Giel 1600mhz 9-9-9-28 Volts:1.65 QPI 1.2V
New 16GB 4x4 kit - Kingston HyperX XMP profile - 1600mhz 9-9-9-28 Volts:1.65 QPI 1.2V

I simply upped the ram ratio divider to result in 1920MHZ and upped the DRAM volts to 1.73
these ram clocks where memtest86 error free for an 8 hour test

I later began to get windows 8 BSOD's, memtest86 showed ram errors so i got rid of the memory OC, the system was stable agian but only for a few days so i thought i must of broke the memory. my old 8GB kit went back into the PC and i took the new 16gb kit to work and tested it but no errors !!!???
A few days later the 8GB kit is throwing errors, again no errors on a PC at work.

I am hella confused by this.

I have also removed the CPU overclocks, the corei7 860 is running on complete stock and still im getting memtest errors with either memory kits, and even just 2 sticks out of the 4 etc.

The only trick i have left is clear CMOS, gonna try that.

any advice however is greatly appreciated.
