Blacks have a slight purple tint.

Precisely that. Blacks on my screen have a purple hue inside of them and lightsabers have purple glowing around them, especially on black/red lightsabers etc.

nope, always been that way, since day one, not windows 8, i have had to reinstall it 3 times anyway (something was faulty for the Internet port, got it working now.)

Try adjusting colors in the nVidia Control Panel. Maybe your monitor wasn't properly calibrated in the factory.

i went thru some different videos games etc, purple hue appears around any "glowing" object being rendered, or shown.
Along with the deepest blacks havign a purple hue.

Can you try with another monitor or a TV? That would narrow it down - it will tell you if the problem is in the monitor or not.

well the computer weighs an odd 90 lbs and i only have one screen, no tvs etc. i thought maybe its a settings issue with the graphics cards?

Try using only one card at a time. If it happens only with one card then you need to RMA that card.

I'd try with another monitor first. Maybe some of your friends can lend you a 20" monitor for a few minutes? That shouldn't weigh 90 lbs, LOL.
