I got an NVIDIA 760, which requires a 6PIN PCI and 8PIN PCI cable. I have a cable from a PSU that has both a 6 pin and a 6+2 pin PCI-E connector on it. The specs for this PSU say that it has 1 6pin and 1 6+2 pin connectors but I'm not sure if I can use them both at the same time, given that they seem to be on the same wire. Anyone come across this before?

As long as your not splitting it with adapters and PSU says it has both you should be fine. My computer only came with one six pin and I turned two old unused molex to create a second six pin for my 670 and even have a decent oc going for over a year now.
