Ok so I recently bought all the parts to my pc and built it today. I am now trying to turn it on and all the comes up is my mouse for like half a second and then it goes black? I am using a TV as my monitor and it definitely works because I use the same TV and same connection for my PS3. It used to boot it would show the Gigabyte logo (brand of my mobo) and then come up with "Reboot and select proper boot device". So what I did was I just tried changing around the SATA cable connected to the hard drive, I don't really know why and it came up again with the Gigabyte logo and then it would go to the "Reboot..." thingy. So I double checked another sata port and now no matter what I do it just comes up with my mousefor a split second and then black...

Please help!

Cheers

Ok so I went out and got a copy of windows 7 64 bit and followed a vid to get it onto a usb (my pc dosn't have a dvd drive). And now still no boot! But I am getting a screen, but its the "reboot and select proper boot device...". So after reading around I have a feeling that it may be something in the bios that I need to change. Is it in the bios and if so what is it and how do I fix it?
Cheers

u will need to copy a windows installation disk u own into usb stick... don't add any files or create folder just full copy all...
stick into the machine

Then u will need to go to bios, usually del/esc key need pressed on post screen (The screen that turn on when power up)
go search boot priority and set it so it will boot into/from usb stick first, it can be named usb-hdd/usb drive or the usb brand/model name... (kingston xx/etc)

save the setting to BIOS, (save and exit) ... Reboot ..

If u do right it will boot on windows installation sequence..

to enter bios menu u will need press a key when the computer start up.. to late then u need to restart..
i usually repeatedly press the key even the pc haven't turned on so i don't miss it....

The key different in each brand of mobo, so it could be del/inset/esc/etc... key, try look in the mobo booklet/manual/user guide..

Also make sure the disk is bootable windows installation disk, not update/modified/etc ones..
