Hi there,
Thats my pc and I want to know which part should I upgrade and with specifically what is reccomended to replace it with. I can afford to spend 1000$ - 1700$

My pc:
Processor: Intel Core i7 cpu 930 @2.80Ghz

Ram: 8 GB DDR3 @ 1333Mhz

Motherboard: Asus P6TD Deluxe

Graphic card : Zotac Geforce GTX 670

SSD: Samsung 500 gb

The original pc is Acer predator G7, but I upgradded it with some parts.

I am currently looking to buy these parts tell me if its a good idea

EVGA GeForce GTX780 SuperClocked w/EVGA ACX Cooler 3GB GDDR5 384bit, DVI-I, DVI-D, HDMI,DP, SLI Ready (03G-P4-2784-KR)

More than an upgrade thats a new PC :D.

If i was you Id probably wait a bit longer before upgrading (Im currently looking to upgrade and im at Q6600 and DDR2, but with a 560 Ti.

The way i see it your PC is quite balanced as it is and not that old, So id probably wait till there is a 6-core standard in the industry or more, or at least till the line of intel/AMD (after I-Cores).

If you are going to get all those parts as people suggest, it might be smarter to build a new COMPUTER and actually have two of them....
Or even sell your older PC ...

I dont think that an indivitual upgrade would benefit you greadtly, except an SSD.

You're planning to get a motherboard but no new CPU? Any CPU that would fit that motherboard would be a sidegrade or a downgrade. I like Roxas_Boy's suggestions, and they would be solid in any event, but what are you looking to do with this build. I know you want to game, but what games specifically?

Here is my recommendation:

CPU: i7 4770k or i5 4670k
Mobo: Asus Maximus VI Hero
Corsair Chassis VENGEANCE C70 MILITARY GAMING CASE/Cooler Master Storm Scout-II Advanced
Corsair RAM 8GB with 1866MHz Vengeance Pro
GPU is ok
PSU : Corsair AX750 or GS/TX series 700-800W
Hyper 212 EVO is good, you may consider Noctua NH-U14S as well
SSD is ok

Happy Hunting!

Agree with above and if you get a new case upgrade your case fans with high end ones like noctua's. Also a mass storage drive like a WD blue 1 TB drive for around 80 to 90 dollars USA. But on a side note the 780 is a great card. I have one and kills games with ease but the 670 should be fine till maxwell comes out.

Well it probably worth it and it will definitely be faster then the 780 Ti which almost catching up with the 690 and the 7990 so it could be as fast a dual gpu card. I'll suggest waiting for it cause your GPU is still great.
