I have a problem in all games, that when I move my mouse it is choppy and the frames seem to hang yet in say Battlefield 4 my fps stays at about 120fps despite the onscreen jerkyness. However moving in game by using the keyboard or even a gamepad there is no problem at all.

I have just built this machine myself so this has never been working.

My mouse is a razer deathadder (was working fine on old pc) and i have tried all drivers and razer software with no luck, strangely when I put in my work mouse it had the same problem which has confused the hell out of me.

I've tried vsync but I never thought it was this as it runs fine on keyboard or gamepad.

I've dropped from 500 to 125 also in mouse settings

my build is

Gigabyte G1.Sniper Z87 Intel Z87
Intel Core i7-4770K 3.50GHz (Haswell)
VTX 7970 3GB
Corsair Vengeance Pro Red 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C11 2400MHz
Seasonic G series 750w
Deathadder 3.5
blackwidow ultimate

Dunno what to do and any help would be greatly appreciated

Search in the mouse software something called "report rate" and try to lower (for my logitech i use 500 instead of 1000). see if you have any improvements.
are you playing games through Steam?
also it can be a virus showing up as stij.exe in task manager.

I don't appear to have that process plus I've actually reinstalled windows 7 3 times since I got the parts at the weekend so a virus is unlikely as I have had this problem on each fresh install

I've now tried borrowed my old graphics card which was 1GB and it has the same issue.

I've tried everything I can think off

the fact the screen doesnt lag or jerk when i use the gamepad really has left me puzzled. what would be different between a gamepad and a mouse? could it be a power issue? I've got latest drivers for usb and even used a ps2 mouse.

I've tried it in both the case and the motherboard USB. I've also updated the USB driver

Are you setup on LAN or do you have a wireless card?

A lot of wireless cards come with aweful software which can conflict with other devices, like mice. Have you tried running a clean boot?

Did you try the work mouse without the Razer drivers installed?

Does this happen only when playing Battlefield 4, or any other games or programs? What about something like Crysis etc?

The only other things I can think of would be to disable your webcam software or other logitech software to see what happens. Also you might try putting a lower FPS limit, and running the game at a different resolution than your desktop resolution.

Those may sound like strange suggestions but it wouldn't hurt to try.

It happens on dayz too (these are2 of 3 games i have installed since the latest rebuild) Next car game runs fine but that's because I'm using a gamepad for that (battlefield doesnt stutter with the gamepad but I'm not playing battlefield with a gamepad haha). It seems an in game mouse only problem. I don't have a webcam and I have not added my logitch stuff on this fresh install of OS

I've lowered fps and tried all resolutions

Yeah I've tried adjusting both and the slower the sensitivity the better it seems but when it's that slow it becomes unplayable in a different way as you can't react quick enough

I use a razer exactmat x control mouse mat. I've tried on a pad of paper and a couple of other things. the mouse and mat are the same i had on my old pc which ran fine before.

I had synapse on my a previous install of my OS and it actually got a bit worse might be worth giving it another go though.

Think I'll be trying contacting razer but as it worked on my old pc I reckon they'll blame something else

cheers for the replies, it's really appreciated as I don't think I've ever been more frustrated
