Whenever i click turn off after a long day of having my computer on all day, i click the shut down button and it shuts down i guess the graphics? The monitor says there's nothing detected, but the computer tower keeps running. This only happens when the computer has been running for more than 4 hours.

Does it shut down after a while or does it just seem to keep running until you interact with it again? Have you watched the various fans after shut down to see which is doing what?
I'm considering that you may have a high-end PSU that keeps it's fan on after shut down to keep itself (and the PC) cooler. That's the "there's nothing to worry about" answer. It does not of course cover all possible problems but I'm going with that for now - What make and model PSU?

Does the pc wake up or resume as normal if you press a key on the keyboard?

It could be going into sleep mode instead of powering down, I know some motherboard manufacturers have such as Asrock have a utility called fast boot which basically puts the pc into sleep mode, if you have certain settings enabled in the bios the pc can remain powered on while sleeping but in a low powered state.

If there is no response from the pc after you have shut down it could be a psu issue.
