What do I need to look after on a Graphic card

Hello foks.

I need some answers, I'm building a new PC.

A graphic card got so many stats. What is needed to give you the superb picture in games?

MHz Core Clock
nm Chip
Stream Processors
Video Memory
bit GDDR5
MHz Effective

what is best?

if you take Sapphire 280x vs the 290x

The 280 runs with higher MHz but less BIT. and less Video memory? .. anyone here who can explain what I need to look after? :)

Hope for some good answers.

hmm, look fine. also just use http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html. But I wanted to know what the diffrent is. because maybe they say the R9 280x is good. but is it the gigabyte, asusu sapphire. :) they all performe difrent.

The list I linked is based on the reference standard for the particular card. Dfferent manufacturers do make changes(Overclock,more or less RAM, different cooling solutions)n that could affect performance.

basically you shouldnt be very concerned about these things,the model is always more important
think about it like this: an r9 280x is worse than the 290 for a reason because it is an older model and r9 290 is stronger/faster
you shuold only consider clock speeds/vram and other stuff like this when you decide on a model
like if you decide to buy an r9 280x itll be nicer to have 1150mhz on clock speed than 1000mhz

This is the R9 280X sapphire vs R9 290x sapphire. I think the 280 looks better just not in the bit? .. so how importen is that?

Listen, the r9 290x is better than the r9 280x because it has a better graphic core:r9 280x has tahiti XT and r9 290x has Hawaii which is better,clock speeds matter once you choose which graphic core you want to buy, type in google r9 290x review and see how it performs better than r9 280x

the most simple way to look which one is better is to look at their names. for nvidia for example gtx 650 first number is how new it is. there is already a 7 series but newer doesnt really necessarily mean its better. a 680 is still better than a 760. 2nd and 3rd number is which is faster. a 660 is better than a 650. 670 is better than a 660. sometimes there are TI or boost and that means in between. 650ti boost is in between 650 ti and 660.

for amd

same thing

r9 270<270X x means overclocked or something like ti or boost. the higher the number the better it is.

and dont look too much on gb. a 4gb r9 270 isnt better than a 2gb r9 280x

gb's are important if you're going to use 3 monitors.

for which is better than nvidia vs amd for example you need to find out 650ti boost vs 7850 that is the time you need to look for benchmarks.
