Hello, I recently bought Razer tiamat 2.2 headphones, and I was quite disappointed that they sound way different on my home PC than on laptop, obviously because of sound card. So I'm on par here, Im thinking which card to get, here are my options -

Creative PCIE 5.1 SB AUDIGY (40 Euro)
ASUS Xonar DGX PCI Express (32 euro)
ASUS Xonar DG (27 euro)
ASUS Xonar DS (43 euro)
USB Sound Blaster X-Fi HD (60 euro)

I just want it for music/movies, I dont actually want 5.1 I just want a decent audio quality.

More about : sound card choose

You want to make sure of the slot size and form that you have available. Some of the cards that you listed are PCI while others are Pci-e x1.

I would go with the Asus Xonar DGX if you have a Pci-e x1 slot available.

Also many headphones come with a built in sound card so if your headphones connect by USB then it has a built in sound card and a USB connection by passes any sound card in the computer whether addon or built in chip on the motherboard.

Razer tiamats 2.2 are with 3.5 mm jack. Also I have both free PCI and PCIe
