Hello guys, I need some help with SSD settings.
Currently I am using a Samsung 840 EVO 250GB SSD, there is Windows 8.1 installed on it and some games. Before I installed Windows, in the BIOS I set the Sata devices to run in RAID mode. But after I have installed the Samsung Magician I saw the AHCI mode is the preferred setup for the SSD. I have tried to change the settings in BIOS to AHCI, but Windows won't load, I only get a blue screen. I have read that I should perform a clean install after I set the AHCI mode, which I would not really want.
So basically my question is, is there any way for me to be able to use AHCI mode without a new Windows install, or is it gonna hurt my SSD in any way if I use RAID?
P.S.: My motherboard is ASUS H87M-PRO
