Hey guys, posting this on behalf of my friend. He has put a computer together and it turns on. However, when plugged into TV either via HDMI or VGA there is no display.

Here are his specs;

RAM: 8GB (2x4GB) Corsair DDR3 Vengeance Racing Red, PC3-12800 (1600), Non-ECC, CAS 9-9-9-24, XMP, 1.5V

HDD: 1TB WD Blue WD10EZEX SATA III 6GB/s 7200rpm 64MB Cache 8ms OEM HDD

Processor: AMD Athlon II X4 750K Black Edition, Virgo Quad Core, S FM2, 3.4GHz, 4MB Cache, 100W, Retail

Motherboard: MSI FM2-A75MA-P33, AMD A75, FM2, DDR3, SATA III - 6Gb/s, RAID, PCIe 2.0 (x16), D-Sub/DVI-D, Micro ATX

GPU: 2GB XFX 7850 860M DDR5 DD COOLER Dual Mini DPHDMI, Dual DVI Output

Any help would be much appreciated, thank you.

Your psu is a little underpowered for the build. Very likely to be the source of the problem.

Also try plugging in the displays to the gpu, i'm sure you've tried this but just for good measure.

the processor does not have built in graphics, so it must be plugged into the gpu (to my knowledge, not overly familiar with that processor series)

You sure? Because I have a better build than his, running on 450w?
