Solution JOOK-D Jan 30, 2014 For gaming I'd take the i5 option. For the other tasks you listed the i7 option. Prioritise which one you'll do more and choose that one. You could look at a Xeon 1230v3 as a mid-price-point option and its essentially the equivalent of the 4770, but with a little lower clockspeed.
