Have a AMD A4-6300, and would like to do some gaming. Can't presently emulate on Dolphin without it becoming a slideshow.

Budget is $150-180. Been looking at the Radeon 7850. Would that be a good fit?

Thanks.

That, or an R7-260 / HD7790 seem to me to be the strongest cards worth considering for that CPU. You may find the CPU to be your biggest limitation with some games, but going from the APU's graphics to a HD7850 should allow you to play with "enjoyable" settings.

Honestly there is nothing wrong with you a4-6300 if your running the latest dolphin thats your issue, Dolphin hasnt been putting out good models in a while now if you want the best one and the best settings I would go here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srL9I6zktQE I been using a stock m11bb asus with only a extra 4gb of ram and I run dolphin at max with a 1920x1080 res at 30-60 fps (game depending) and im on the same a4-6300. If you really wanna by a card I HIGHLY recomend something with atlest ddr5 and 2gb of memory because with apu's the more ram you have the more graphics you can get and unless you get a ddr5 I dont see and reason to leave it ive been stomping every game so far with the a4-6300 take my advice stick with it or go for the ddr5 2gbs so you wont be replacing them again for a while.(and go AMD so you can crossfirex)
