My rule of thumb is to budget 2x the cpu cost for the graphics card.
That would say spend $135 on the cpu.
How about a i3-4130 cpu instead?
It is considerably faster than the i3-3220 listed in this report, and generally a better gamer than the FX-8350.

You can use any lga1150 motherboard.
Here is one for $50

You could go cheaper on the psu, but I do not recommend that.
Seasonic is excellent in quality, and it would allow you to upgrade to a card as good as a GTX780ti.

You can probably save $70 by getting an FX6300 CPU instead of the 8350, the 8350 is not the best price/performace mix CPU and you should not notice much if any difference. I'd guess you would have to run a benchmark to see the difference in gaming speeds between the two, you would not be able to tell them apart if you had two computers side by side with the two CPUs and were asked to say which had what CPU without looking at the specs.
