Hello, I have been using the Skullcandy SLYR's for quite a bit now. They have a built in microphone, but only uses 1 input cable. They always worked on my Windows 8 laptop, the mic and headphones at the same time, but now, with my Windows 7 PC, they only work one at a time. The headphones work, not mic, if plugged into a Headphone jack, and reverse with the microphone in the Pink jack. I have tried Line In, but with realtek, it only lets me choose headphone or Microphone at once. Any ways to fix this? I dont have the money to go out and spend on a brand new headset.

If you have a look on the jack you will see that there are 4 pins. From the tip to the base of the jack, It goes Left audio, right audio, mic/button and ground. Because your laptop is quite recent it will support the 4 pin layout on your headphones jack.

Your PC however, probably doesn't. To fix this, you will need an adapter to convert the headphone/mic single jack into seperate headphone and mic jacks. An example is here on amazon: http://amzn.to/1a4sKQo
