Ok, I know this has been asked alot but I need to know what I might have to add to my old gaming system.

I have been playing older games and would like to purchase BF4. Last year I was having alot of choppy frames in BF3 and I realized I needed a new card. So I just ordered a GTX 760 2GB video card. My old one was a GTX 260 so I am sure I will see a big difference. But, after reading some old responses about system requirements for this game I am a little worried. Basically I am hoping I didn't just waste money on a VID card when I need a whole new system.

Below is my system, can someone please let me know if I am going to have the same problems with 4 as I did with 3.

Thanks in advance.

MOBO- GA-MA790X-UD4P
CPU-AMD Phenom II X4 940 Black Edition Deneb 3.0GHz Socket AM2+ 125W Quad-Core
RAM- 4GB DDR2 1033
PS- 680 watts
SSD- Intel 128
GPU- Soon to be GTX 760 replacing GTX 260.

Yes, your processor is going to be a bottleneck for BF4, and you really need to get more RAM.

You would be able to play this game up to 720p (medium settings) with the GTX 760 (beyond that you would be bottlneck by your memory and CPU)

tachybana,

Med is good enough for me until I decide to upgrade my CPU. A cheaper fix for now to will be more RAM. Thanks to all that replied!

Well I got the Video card and installed it. After downloading all drivers and BF4 I was able to play for about 20 min then I get a white screen and the game freezed up. After a hard restart I deleted some old stuff to make more room on my hard drive, cleaned my registry and lowered my GPU to low settings. Still can't play longer than 20 min. My little gadget on my desktop reading the system memory was showing 90%- 95% during gaming. Is there anything I can do besides buying more Ram? Would overclocking my CPU help?
