I've been getting a BSOD when reinstalling windows after formatting my HDD.

My computer was suddenly working very slowly, so I booted in safe mode and backed up all my files on my secondary hard drive, then I formatted. I keep getting an error when setting up windows install, cashing to BSOD. I ran memtest 86+ and found errors in one stick of RAM. So I tried installing while running only one RAM stick, but to no avail. So I tried the other stick of RAM, and again I had no luck.

To me it seems like my motherboard is shot, what do you guys think?

Test the hard drive with the manufacturer's diagnostic bootable CD. Download the CD Image from the appropriate link on this page:

For WD hard drive, the download link is on this page: http://www.smartestcomputing.us.com/topic/63494-looking-for-western-digital-data-lifeguard-iso/

You can make a CD from any ISO file by using IMGBurn: http://www.filehippo.com/download_imgburn/
