I was looking for a little help as I have tried everything I can think of to solve this issue.

I have an Alienware M15x laptop running Win 8.1 Pro with an i7 / 8GB (maxed out) and AMD Mobility Radeon HD 5800 Series graphic card.

The problem is with frame rate. Any kind of flash game is basically unplayable it is so slow, also YouTube videos are choppy at best, and will sometimes skip back a bit or stall while playing. I have done some gaming in the past on it, and that seemed ok when playing something like WOW, although I wouldn't call it flawless.

The slowness happens regardless of browser IE, Chrome, or FireFox. So it doesn't seem to be a specific browser issue.

I have upgraded to the latest driver hoping that may fix it, but no luck. If anything it's worse. The current driver I have installed is 13.251.0.0 from 12/06/13

I really love this computer, and would so much like for it to work how it should. It's rather disgusting when I can get on my wife's Dell with a i3 / 4GB / Intel HD card and it can do flawlessly everything mine struggles with.

I appreciate any assistance anyone may be able to offer.

Hi,

Do you play other games on the laptop, is is playing ok ?

Did you update flash player / shockwave player ?
Check for adware, spyware malware on the machine.
Donwnload adwcleaner, roguekiller and malwarebytes.
Also scan with panda and eset online scan if possible.

Check you temperatures to be sure your cpu gpu isn't overheating. (core temp, hwmonitor and msi afterburner to monitor)
