There we go! Very good for my Dayz. What do you think I could improve on?

I dont play dayz yet cuz my current setup cant take it, so I dont know how demanding it is BUT I do know that this system looks pretty good! You made some nice picks. See you went with good brands like asus for your mobo, corsair for ram and seasonic for psu.

The monitor is a bit small for my taste at 18.5" but thats a matter of personal oppinion ofcourse. Id say go for it, but if you can spend a couple kore bucks you should look to get 2x4gb ram insteakmof 1x8, by using more of your slots you will get a bit more out of the ram so I see 4gb sticks as optimal, unless you plan on using the leftover slots for upgrades later. Also Idono why you picked a mATX mobo, but it doesnt really matter. Will do just as good as ATX is just a bit smaller, as lkng as it fits in your case the size only matter for higher end boards and expandability.

I play DayZ. Have a look at my build. I can barely get medium settings at 40fps so I usually play at low. It is HORRIBLY coded.

You can drop the CPU cooler because you won't really be doing any overclocking on that motherboard.

This computer WILL play DayZ, but do not expect more than low/medium settings at playable frame-rates.

Oh, not the actual standalone. That is utter crap until rocket gets really into the project. The Dayz mod runs on my crappy notebook at low settings at 30-40fps, so this should be a good build.

Thanks guys! I will probably tell my parents I am ready to order.

If yo care about overclocking at all, you need to change the motherboard to something better. If not, drop the cooler because that CPU does not run hot and it will be a waste of money.

Corsair 200r. But I would keep your case and get 2x4gb RAM instead.

Yeah stay with thebcase and split your ram into 2 4gb sticks, really makes a difference.
Also if I or he helped you pick a best awnser so other with similar requests can easely look it up. :)

Thats if you got a the awnser you wanted ofcourse, if not you should wait :p
So many people seem to forget this, makes it harder when you try to searsh for an anwser insyead of making new posts straight away (not saying you forget, just ppl in general)

Yes, go with the 2x4 sticks. Also, I strongly recommend going for a semi or full modular PSU instead. This Corsair CX is much less expensive and is semi-modular.

Well whilst I like modular too, it doesnt really add to the preformance and he doesnt have like a mATX case, so he should have enough space. Could do it though if the price difference is small enough for your likings

Why not get a modular PSU though, especially if it's less expensive? It surely won't decrease performance. And I have a larger case and I find it very useful to clean things up.

Got a semi-modular HX corsair. So good reviews.

Got a new monitor too. Parents are home, any final thoughts?

I never said not to get modular if its cheaper. As I stated before, there is indeed no preformance difference at all, but in general the modular version of a psu is slightlh more expensive than the non modular. If its cheaper or the difference is very small, like a couple of bucks, you'd be stupid not to do it, cuz it does look cleaner when you finished building and it is great to work with!

HX units are VERY good. WHat is the monitor in question?

Well you got WAY too much PSU and a non-1080p monitor. That was a mistake.

You could have had an XFX 550 PSU. SAME quality for $49 and gotten a better motherboard (so you could overclock in the future), or better GPU, or a better monitor.

:(
Will that mean I will fry my mobo?

No a high wattage PSU will do nothing to hurt the computer. Just waste power.

You could have had an XFX 550 PSU. SAME quality for $49 and gotten a better motherboard (so you could overclock in the future), or better GPU, or a better monitor.

Darn it!

Oh well, according to this I won't be drawing 650W of power, just how much I need plus a bit.

Well, at least the build should work, right? Not going to explode or anything?

Yeah, you just could have gotten a similar quality PSU for $40 less and had more money to get some better quality parts.

It will work. Your monitor is not HD1080p which sucks, but it will work.

What will happen with the monitor? Will some games not run? Will there be a major difference in the graphics?

All games will run, you will just see slightly less and the picture quality will be slightly lower because of less pixels.
