On many modern motherboards I see that there additional HDMI sockets as well as the one on the GPU. Do leads plugged into these sockets give the same quality of vid/audio as the one on the GPU?
modern motherboards with hdmi is integrated graphics used by the cpu, Intel's HD4000 or AMD's A10 5800k for example. The video and sound quality is identical but performance in fps wont be nearly as good as a gpu above their category.
