Hello,
I am having window problems on my desktop. Usually when I boot my computer, it works fine for about 5 minutes. Then windows starts de-selecting. (Ex. Let's say I am on notepad and have it selected, after 5 second, typing or not, the window will de-select, and I would have to re-select it by clicking it). I contacted my anti-virus provider (Norton) and explained the problem. They confirmed that it wasn't Norton and they fixed it, not sure how. Then Today, I booted up my desktop and it started happening again. So I did they same thing, but this time they just said to contact Microsoft, which I did. But I didn't feel like paying for a service, yet. So can anyone help?

-OS: Windows 7
-Processor: Intel i7-3770 3.40GHz
-RAM: 16GB
-Video Card: GTX 660 Ti

Edit: I went to start up services and disabled all services except the Microsoft, Intel, Nvidia, and Norton services. The problem seems gone when I rebooted the computer, but I still want to know what it is and how to get rid of it.

Hello,

Sorry for the trouble. I do not think it's caused due to a virus. Did you try updating your touch pad and mouse drivers and see if that helps?

You can also enable one service at a time and find out which service is causing the problem.

Thanks!

I did indeed update both mouse and keyboard drivers. I thought of doing the 2nd idea. And will probably try that. I'll let you know if I find anything.
