I just got set up my GTX 760 and Im getting these 3D mark results: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/2341003 Why am I scoring so poorly? What do I need to upgrade?
synthetic benchmarks mean nothing. You shouldn't care about what you get there. If it performs poorly in the programs that actually matter like games then you should worry.
Also, is it reaching it's maximum clock speed when put on a load? I find sometimes my gpu won't jump to the full clock speed when gaming and as a result i get bad performance.
My gpu is not maxing out at all. Could it be bottlenecking on my cpu? Which pcie slot is optimal? There are only two on this motherboard and I have the 760 in the same slot as my old card.
http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/2341336 These are the results of my second 3d mark run. On the first test when I compare, people are getting double my score. It seems like the issue is with my CPU, how can I investigate further?
So while running borderlands 2 in windowed mode on the lowest settings possible I was getting an avg of 20fps from Msi and my resource moniter is showing my CPU 0-3 running in the 90-100% range. Does this mean that my cpu is bottlenecking me? Its an I5 760 that runs at 2.8. I feel like over-clocking could be a solution.
Try reinstalling your drivers or updating to the newest ones, that might fix the problem , i had problems in web sites freezing and making me have to hard reboot my cpu , i updated the driver on my old GTX 460SE and so far it fixed the problem , maybe updating yours will fix your physx score
