Ok so i have Crossfire 7850 right now with a Intel core i5 3570k and i wanted to buy a GTX 770 do you guys think i will get more power out of the one 770 than the two 7850, I have done some research and it looks like one 770 would out preform 2 7850 but i like to be sure. Also the 770 would have to be the reference design because i just love that look :p

I am happy with my GTX 770. It plays all games at high/ultra smoothly. Running a 3570K @4.3 and the combo is sweet.

You can get a couple free games with it right now too. Not sure on the pair of 7850s, are there games that you can't play right now? I would guess the 7850s aren't too bad honestly??

If you could wait a bit longer you know the 800 series are just around the corner....

The 7850s are not bad at all but i have run into a few issues where a game does not support crossfire (or maby i just set it up wrong) like COD ghosts and GTA iv i know they are not very graphically demanding but i would still not like to have one card doing nothing. Thanks for the help

Gtx 770, easily. Xfire doesnt scale well, not to mention the microstuttering, driver issues, game compatibility, and with a 770, you can move it to another build, or add another in a year or 2 as the games require. Seems like a no brainer to me.

I've always been a single card guy honestly. The 770 was the most I have ever spent on a card, but at it's price point it's a great deal right now (considering it's an overclock 680 which was 500$ at the time I bought the 770).

I'm much more likely to turn graphic settings down than buy 500+ dollars worth of GPU(s). The point of diminishing returns puts a damper on my desire to buy stuff. 330$ is alot to spend on a PC part, for me at least ;)

I've always used single cards as well, but i sold my old cell phone for 500 bucks today, and instead of trying to return my 770 to get a 780 or 780 ti, i figured I'd try sli.770 sli is supposed to be better than even the 780ti, and If i don't like it(and i really think i will) I can return the new one, or use the evga step up to get a better, and sell the other on ebay or something.
