Hi tom's hardware, i have been looking into building a gaming computer for a long time now, as my laptop has many great games on it that i cannot even play at lowest settings. Some of these games are far cry 3, crysis 2, Bioshock infinite, skyrim, and deus ex: human revolution. I would like to be able to play all of these games at high to ultra settings at 1080p at anywhere as long as its above 30fps. After i sell my laptop, i anticipate having $600, so thats my budget for now. Is that realistic? And if so, please provide a nice build that could do that. Im looking at a graphics card around the radeon r9 270, and a cpu at around the fx 6300. Lets see what you guys can come up with :)

thanks aevm, but i don't need a graphics card that powerful for 1080p gaming, if i downgraded that to an r9 270 for $180, i could get everything else with that for $630, would that still run what i wanted it to?

Yes. You're not going to get 30 fps on the highest settings, but you can always lower settings or lower resolution to increase fps.

ok, thanks, that seems high enough for me, especially because aa was on 4x. I call 37fps a smooth framerate. My current laptop only gets 11 fps, even at 800x600 res and lowest settings xD i can always turn down a few settings.
