DRAM LED solid red light

I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. This is a brand new build I did. Just bought this ram today as well.. and of course makes the one long beep, two short beeps sound.


Motherboard: ASUS M5A97 R2.0
RAM: G Skill Sniper 8GB (2 x 4GB)

1. did you try each one indepently
2. are you sure you have them pushed down all the way. when you put them in the side clips( on the motherboard) should have snaped in on there own
3. section 1.2.4 of your motherboard manual says to install first memory into slot dimm-a2 then slot dimm-a4 for the second one. have you tried that?
