Info from asus site about this mobo:

2 x DIMM, Max. 8 GB, DDR3 1333(O.C.)/1066/800 Non-ECC,Un-buffered Memory

As you can see a DDR3 800/1066/1333, 2 sticks 4GB each is the most you can put (which i would recommend to get) Forget about the 2 gigs you have, sale it or put on a shelve
