I do not do any gaming or 3D videos. With that said one color here and there might not be acceptable for me. I am a quasi videophile and am just interested in getting a hp pro 6005 used desktop for this purpose. Any comments and suggestions would be very helpful.
Thanks in advance

The integrated Radeon 4200 graphics are OK for 1080p. The card actually does very little of the work.

The included CPU may be of more concern.
Do you know which CPU is in the machine you are looking at?
The CPU is going to be responsible for decoding your video.

An old machine like this probably only has VGA video out. Will your TV support this?
The other issue is that the PC has only 2 channel sound. If looking at movies, you probably want something with 5.1 outputs or a HDMI, coaxial or optical connector for digital sound to an amplifier.

Looks like that model has DVI-D and/or DisplayPort as well as VGA -- it's supposed to come with a DisplayPort cable, a DisplayPort-to-DVI-D adapter, & a DisplayPort-to-VGA adapter. Depending on your TV set, you might need a DVI-D to HDMI adapter, but otherwise you should be fine.
