Hi guys,

I have only recently built my system and I'm thinking by adding another card I'll be able to future proof it a little in terms of gaming at least.

However I am not sure whether or not my system will be able to support two cards, limited as it might be by temperature and power consumption concerns.

My system is as follows -

MSI X79A-GD45(8D)
i7-3820
R9 270x Hawk
2x8GB G-Skill 8GB Ripjaws X DDR3 2133
Cooler Master Hyper 412s
Corsair RM650 80 Plus Gold 650W

Any help would be appreciated!

Just for clarification, will my PSU be able to handle two r9 270x hawks in crossfire?

Yes. i looked for this info myself and 650 w PSU is enough and being from corsair and 80+ will be more than enough for them and the rest of the system (but i am not sure how it would handle them if you OC by increasing the voltage)

Thanks for the reassurance man, are you running the same spec as me?

I doubt i'll be OC'ing anyway, so that's good news!
