You can trust amazon but global shipping computer hardware probably isn't the best idea, can you not get the R9 270x in India yet?

i would suggest not bothering with all this international shipping stuff and settle with the r9 270x hawk edition by msi from flipkart or local stores...play it safe...(i know that feel when you cant find stuff you want in india but we just cant help it)

I'm in Kerala. No one but no-one builds their systems here.I can guarantee I'll be conned/bargained into buying an overpriced 650 or smth. And no parts available here in Trivandrum,I'm sure.

The customs will be high.
You can get things cheaper in Indian stores because those guys purchase in bulk.
Does WS Retail not ship to your location? I live in Nagpur, Maharashtra, and WS Retail is the only seller that ships to my location.
How much do you want to spend?

On Amazon USA,I can go around $210.In India, about Rs.14,500.WS Retail does not deliver the cards I want.I wonder how much customs it'll be with Amazon global saver shipping.

If you have an account at amazon, and find out how much shipping and insurance costs you have to pay, you can calculate import duties here:

Jaydev Annayya! Through amazon it will cost you 275 USD in total, which is approximately 17000 Rupees. You need to purchase from Indian stores and it will be cheaper if you look hard. Some reliable stores are:
http://www.primeabgb.com/computers/buy-online-graphic-c...
http://mdcomputers.in/products/graphics-card&filter=ATT...
http://www.theitdepot.com/products-Graphic+Cards_C45.ht...
http://www.snapdeal.com/search?keyword=r9+270x&santized...

I'm sure you know how to pick the right one after seeing review benchmarks. One which is cheaper is SAPPHIRE DUAL-X R9 270 2GB BOOST OC which is of Rs. 14,566.00 = 233 USD, just like the US prices.

@Kratos: That is the wrong card. The R9 270 and the 270X are DIFFERENT cards.
And the R9 270 is $199 on Newegg. The same model you have indicated.
however for 15k, I'd want to have the 270 if it were me.

Amazon as a business, are way beyond and up the ladder when it comes to customer service. if bill gates favors eradicating world issues, i can guarantee amazon will treat you with a service up and above beyond, but sometimes somethings are out of amazons reach, like warranties that apply to america and canada only.

Look for companies that support global warranties like asus, evga graphics cards, ect.

Don't buy of amazon unless you've researched the company and the item your interested in purchasing, always buy from prime amazon. you'll see it here: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_1_7?url=search-a...

You have 30 days return, exchange on amazon prime orders and they'll reinburse you the costs, no maybe it's definitely refund you.
I purchase of amazon frequently, but be cautious, not with amazon but with companies that honor global warranties.

Additional stuff--

Do not use uk-usa exchange transfer when buying finalising orders at the chick out, conversion rates will commence.

If this shoe costs 60 us dollars, and you decide to pay in that amount, your bank will issue a conversion fee from your local currency to american; united kingdom currency.

The only way to purchase it in american dollars cheaper, is if your currency's greater then the american dollar.

www.amzon.com much better, then www.amazon.in. they can determine your orders and as in amazon india. it's essentially the same thing but prime global operates in the united states, and branches out.

Do you know any one in united states or uk that could assist you on purchase. your close to china, and given how your products come from china and arrives at america, why not get in contact with asus and arrange a way to pick up the package half way from a local store in hong kong. have you tried ebay? they have the same policy as amazon except you buy from sellers, rather prime. the seller must abide by ebays rules. your protected by ebay's policy.

Don't buy that one bro! Listen to me. The one you have chosen is:
XFX R9-270-2GB DDR5 Double Dissipation~₹ 14,750
Check out its specs:
http://www.techpowerup.com/gpudb/b2625/xfx-double-d-r9-...

The one i'm suggesting you is:
Sapphire Dual-X R9 270X OC~₹15,499
Check out its specs:
http://www.techpowerup.com/gpudb/b2466/sapphire-dual-x-...

For 750 bucks more, that is 12 dollars, you're getting a much better and superior card. It's 270x with higher GPU, memory clock, pixel and texture rate. Buy from here:
http://mdcomputers.in/products/graphics-card/sapphire-g...
^This one might not be in stock though, so you need to call the guy and talk to him about it. Maybe he can arrange it for you in a few weeks. This retailer is from Kolkata. Nice and decent guy, i have talked to him a few times.

Now if you really can't stretch that far, budget wise, then buy this one instead in R9 270 for Rs. 14,566:
SAPPHIRE DUAL-X R9 270 2GB BOOST OC
http://www.primeabgb.com/sapphire-dual-x-r9-270-2gb-boo...

^It's available and actually cheaper and slightly better than the XFX one moreover Sapphire brand is known for their AMD cards. This Overclocked version is perfect for you.

Primeabgb is a professional setup from what i know from personal experience. It is also in mumbai, so close to kerala. I ordered and received my ASUS R9 280x DC2 TOP from these guys for 26500 Rupees just a few days back. I installed it today and it's now running successfully on my rig. Passed all the heavy stress tests and benchmarks. Really happy to have bought this gem from these guys.

Moreover if you didn't knew, then, in India RP Tech guys are the only distributor for Nvidia and AMD cards. All retailers take cards from them and then sell it by accounting their profits in them. If you want, then you can check out their website, dial and talk to the distributor directly. So that you can verify the legit and fair Indian prices directly from our national distributor.

Whatever they say will be the best reasonable price available in India, no haggling no bollocks, it's a distributor so they ain't gonna pull mickey mouse BS lol.

Like when i bought this card few days back, the RP Tech guy told me that my card was 23000 rupees few months back but due to demand its price rose to 25700. And then i bought it from primeabgb (retailer) for 26500<---800 expensive, since i couldn't wait for one month as they were out of stock and i didn't want to drive 60 Kilometers to the distributor's store to buy stuff from them directly. They're wholesalers too, so they can normally be persuaded to sell a single piece to a single customer as well. Although they don't deal with consumers directly.

RPtech = Rashi Peripherals. These guys are big in India. Major distributors of most of the computer components. Recently they acquired rights from Intel Corporation as well.

Most likely they do, you need to talk to them. Go to their website and give them a call. I called them a few times with my queries related to R9 280x.

And most likely they won't deliver a broken product but yes they have return policies. It's all mentioned at their website.

Yeah their website is bollocks, don't believe everything you see on net. They have everything in Nvidia, Intel, Sapphire, XFX, AMD, whatever and almost every wholesaler and retailer buys from them.

The graphics card that i ordered from primeabgb is priced 26500 on their website and the box has a tag of rptech on it which says it's 30000. The actual invoice that i got shows the price of 25237+taxes+shipping. And the rptech guy on phone told me it was 25700. If you're an Indian then you will understand how stuff sells here. Nothing is what it seems here and one has to do some work to find the lowest prices.

I have even seen their warehouse near nehruplace (Delhi), when i assembled my first system in 2006. Almost no one there even knew about Core 2 Duo processors. At that time i was unable to find good stuff which was available only in the west but rptech guys helped me gather the components i was looking for. Back then it costed me around 1500 USD, 8800 ultra graphics card was the most expensive one iirc - yet it was the fastest one at the time and i wanted it. 2014 is a different story though and now gamers can easily find latest stuff because of more demand, unlike 10 years ago.

Their expensive on postage, dhl like 50$ per a package on my us.

You all should check out payoneer: it allows you to obtain a usa mastercard prepaid while overrideing the currency, it's free to sign up and get the card.

When i purchased something through amazon the checkout didn't give me the option to pay in usa dollars due to the low dollar here :(

Australian dollars like: 89.71 US stuff that, i was almost paying 90$ extra for nothing when i could've purchase it here locally.
But with payoneer

But any hows im getting ahead of my self, the myus.com packagings pricey compared to amazon, but if you bulk those items then i guess myus isn't to bad.

I'm afraid I can't order from abroad at all.I'm currently on a shoestring budget with around Rs.14-15000(if extended a little) for GPUs and even the smallest amount of customs can kill it.Only from India, sigh.

That's the most frustrating thing man.If I buy in India,it'll be inflated. If I buy from the USA to get the original prices,I'll end up spending the same oe even more for it.I wish AMD'd stabilize their prices in India.Currently,NVidia cards are lower or same prices as the international price.

I'd have something to add to that -- don't know which price to believe.

You will not pay more no matter what country your from, even mars (well i don't know about that) tho, the conversion fee from india to america would be more and the result would you losing out.

If you had a payoneer mastercard prepaid offical usa bank account like paypal, you'll only pay in usa dollars.
You can use your payoneer card in india, at a atm, but im not sure using american money in indias legal? is it, isn't that money laundering.

http://www.payoneer.com/?Emt=e&Enet=g&Edevice=c&Edmodel...[value]&Eiscontent=&Ecid=37837894278&Ekwd=payoneer&Eplc=&Eplc_target=&Ep1=&Ep2=&Eaceid=&Epos=1t1&SEM=10037837894278&gclid=CNySlZ-SvbwCFcEypAodikoAVg

It will take 3 weeks to receive your prepaid american mastercard, beats my visa card.

I want my payoneer mastercard in saudi ariabian dollars lol. would be awesome.
