I just purchased a CPU without wireless preinstalled, I have a router (use w/Xbox) Do I need an adapter as well or can I conne

If I already have my wireless router and my cpu is not set up for wifi, do I need an adapter?

  1. A desktop PC that does not have wireless already built in to the motherboard will need a WiFi adapter to connect to the router via WiFi.
  2. Yes. If your computer does not currently have a WiFi adapter, you will need to purchase one in order to connect to your router wireless.

    If your desktop is in the same room as the router it is significantly better performance to hook it up with an ethernet cable.
