GTX 760 SLI Power Requirements

Hey, would either of these PSUs be okay for a GTX 760 SLI?

I'll be getting a GTX 760 and a PSU in about 3 weeks, with a possible second 760 in 4/5 months so would like to know what kind of PSU I should aim for.

Rest of my system is as follows:

ASUS Sabretooth 990FX R2.0 Motherboard
8GB DDR3 Corsair Vengeance 1600Mhz
AMD FX 8350 8 Core OC'ed to 4.4 Ghz
Windows 8.1
Cooler Master HAF XB /w 200mm LED Fan 1 120mm Fan
Corsair H100 Liquid CPU Cooler /w another 2 120mm fans
128GB Sandisk SSD
1 Terabyte HDD

  1. Nvidia recommends 500W for a PC with one GTX 760. Add 170W for the second card.

The XFX 850W is MUCH better quality than the Corsair CXM. Both have plenty of power for what you need. It's totally worth the extra 11 pounds just for that. Also, it would allow you even GTX 780 SLI if you want a major upgrade later. Get the XFX.
  2. Yes, both are top notch and enough power. I have the older version of the XFX in my rig below in my sig.
