I recently upgraded my graphics card to a gtx 760 and now in games like borderlands my cpu is bottlenecking and causing very low frame rates. After reading up on the 760 it seems like an easy way to get better frames is to over clock the card. Some of what I have read says that I should be able to get 3.5 out of the 760 with out to much hassle. Does this sound right? I have never oced a processor and any advice is welcome.

Wrong, you can overclock that CPU. Intel didn't lock the bclock down until Sandy Bridge. I used to run an i5 750 @ 3.8ghz. 3.5 should be doable.
